Telangana government has recently announced an expansion in the number of teaching positions available through the TS DSC 2024 initiative. This expansion entails the addition of 5,973 new teaching posts, which is a significant increase compared to the previous announcement. The decision to augment the teaching workforce comes in response to the rising demand for educators and the need to enhance the quality of education across the state.

To facilitate this expansion, the Finance Ministry has given approval for two separate orders. The first order, known as GEO-27, focuses on the recruitment of regular teaching staff, while the second order, GEO-26, specifically targets the hiring of special education teachers. This dual approach reflects the government's commitment to addressing diverse educational needs and ensuring inclusivity within the education system.

The newly added teaching positions encompass a range of roles, including Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT), School Assistant (SA), Pandit, and Physical Education Teacher (PET). Specifically, there are over 6,500 SGT posts, 2,600 SA posts, 700 Pandit posts, and 190 PET posts. This comprehensive expansion aims to bolster the teaching workforce across various levels and subjects, thereby enhancing the overall educational experience for students.
